Why It's Different Here

Most Shops Are Built For Volume. This One Isn't.

Walk into most barbershops and you're one of forty cuts that day. You wait, you get whoever's free, and you explain your whole head to someone new. Then you do it again in four weeks.

Black Oak runs differently. One chair, one barber, one client at a time, by appointment. You book a slot, you walk in, and the room is yours. Same hands every visit, so after the first cut you don't have to explain anything — I already know how you wear it.

There's a drink and something to eat if you want it, a chair that's actually comfortable, and nobody hovering to turn the seat over.

What You Can Book

The Gentleman's Haircut

A full consultation, a proper cut, and a finish that still looks right three weeks later. Hot towel and neck shave included.

$40

Beard Trim

The beard shaped to match your cut. Lines cleaned up at the cheek and neck, trimmed to length, and finished with a hot towel.

$15

The Young Lad (17 & Under)

A calm room and a patient barber. No noise, no crowd, no rush — which makes a real difference for a kid who hates haircuts.

What's Included

The Appointment, Not The Assembly Line

A Private Room

No waiting area, no other clients, no small talk you didn't ask for. Just the chair and the work.

A Real Chair

A proper high-end barber chair, not a stool. You'll notice the difference about ten minutes in.

Something To Drink

Coffee, water, a cold drink, and a snack if you want one. Included, not upsold.

Booked, Not Queued

Your time is your time. Show up at your appointment and you go straight in the chair.

Fifteen Years Of Doing This Properly

I've been cutting hair for over fifteen years. Black Oak is the shop I opened in 2025 to do it the way I always thought it should be done — one person at a time, without the noise.

Most of what I do is men's cuts and beard work, and most of my clients come back every three or four weeks. That's the part I care about most: not the one haircut, but the fiftieth one, still coming out the way you want it.

Questions

Before You Book

Yes, whenever the chair is free. Booking ahead is still the surest way to guarantee your time, but if you're nearby, come in and I'll fit you in if I can.
